Tarun Tejpal Case

Senior journalist and editor-in-chief of Tehelka magazine was accused and charged for assault of a young staff member during their annual conclave.

The Law: POSH Act 2013

Employee sensitization sessions are part of the mandatory compliance guidelines under the Prevention of Sexual Harassment at Workplace Act, 2013. The Law states that every Employer having 10 or more employees must constitute an Internal Committee (IC). The Law is applicable to all kinds of Organizations including Educational Institutions. There are penalties if the Law is not complied with, including cancellation of license to do business.
